Year 6 Brooklands Trip

11th September 2018
This half term as part of their learning linked to their topic ‘A Child’s War’ Year 6 visited Brooklands Museum. During the trip the children discovered the importance of Brooklands during World War 2 and how the aircrafts created there were used during that period. During the day, they also took part in a workshop to find out more about the people who worked at Brooklands during both world wars and were given the opportunity to handle some period objects from the museum collection. Whilst at Brooklands, the children also took the opportunity to board a Concord and learn a little about its history.
