Science in Year 4- Electricity

In Science, Year 4 have been looking at electricity. As part of this term’s topic, the children have been looking at significant scientists who have impacted the way we live today; for example the American scientist, Thomas Eddison who invented the lightbulb.

This term, Year 4 have explored the difference between mains and battery electricity. They then went on to learn about how electricity flows through a circuit. The children had to predict, build and test a number of different circuits. They learnt that the circuit had to be complete, with a negative and positive charge.
