Year 4 Sutton Music Festival

Year 4 Sutton Music Festival

On Friday 5th July, some of the Year 4 children took part in the Sutton Music Festival at St. Andrew’s Church in Cheam. This gave them an opportunity to showcase all of the fantastic music learning that they had been doing throughout the year, alongside children from other Sutton schools. During the day, they went to the church to practise the pieces they would be playing then, in the evening, they returned for the real performance. The children played three pieces on their saxophones and trumpets; Chicken Jump, Old MacDonald and Riguadon. Their timing was fantastic and they played all the right notes the whole way through. They really did an amazing job! After they played, all of the schools that were present sang the song ‘Believe’ as part of the big finale.  We really are very proud of all of the children who attended for all of their hard work.
