In Literacy, Year 3 have been learning all about Greek Mythology. The children read Theseus and the Minotaur and enjoyed acting out the myth to help them understand the characters. After learning all about characters from myths such as Medusa, Perseus, Athena and The Minotaur, the children had the opportunity to create their own Mythical creatures. They had great fun inventing all sorts of magical creatures, some of which had many heads or combined features of different creatures. The children were then inspired to write their own myth featuring their own quest. To publish their myths, the children were very excited to use Toontastic on their Chromebooks. They were able to draw their mythical settings and creatures and record themselves reading their myths.
