During DT this half term, the children thoroughly enjoyed making volcanoes out of clay. They thought carefully about the shape and made a range of shield and composite- shaped volcanoes. Once they were dry, the children painted them, including using appropriate colours for the lava. To finalise their activity, the children got to see their volcanoes erupting. They used vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, red food colouring and washing up liquid for this experiment.
