Welcome from the Principal
Manor Park Primary is a three form entry school. Our mission statement is Confident Children Enjoying Learning and this reflects our commitment to child-centred learning offering a creative curriculum promoting independence. Each child is seen as a 'whole child' and whilst we concentrate fully on Manor Park Primary children teaching and learning with an exciting innovative creative curriculum taught through engaging topics. We also have experienced staff to support the wellbeing of children as we believe that happy children result in confident learners. Excellent behaviour is expected and achieved.
The Foundation stage is run as a unit with Nursery and Reception mixing at times and has lots of outside space with newly designed gardens with climbing apparatus, tracks and wild life areas. Manor Park Primary Academy strongly promotes outside learning, learning through play and quality experiences. Children have a calm atmosphere with friendly staff to support children to explore and develop. This transfers into Y1 in the Autumn term - we believe this is important for a smooth and positive transition.
The main school is on three floors and encourages healthy climbing of stairs and a sense of pride moving up the school. Again an importance on space for learning means that there are rooms devoted to group work and a library. Many visitors comment on the manners of our children and our diversity results in children who are friendly and supportive. Assisting class teachers are experienced teaching assistants to ensure every child is considered and develops.
Our premises is clean and welcoming and our office staff are friendly and ensure the smooth running of the school. We have a head teacher, two deputy head teachers, and two assistant head teachers. These leaders are able to support teachers across the school in their own professional development, including modelling good and outstanding teaching. Professional Development and training is a high priority for our school's development. We actively encourage our staff to continue their own education and ensure that our environment is not just a learning environment for children.
Important to us are inspiring learners, developing resilience, promoting confidence, happy children, working and listening to parents, enjoying childhood, using common sense and developing moral values...to name a few.
All staff work hard to ensure each child has a great experience at Manor Park Primary. We ask you to join us, as an automatic member of friends of Manor Park (FOMP), in achieving this. Whilst we attain the highest standards, occasionally we don't get it right - but we always listen, consider and strive to improve.
